Description

Noises are unwanted disturbances that are measured in decibels (dB). These unwanted disturbances affect both health and behavior of human being.  To suppress these signals the source of noise has to be identified and   noise reduction measures must be taken.
Vibration is a mechanical movement that transfers energy. We human beings have the eagerness to build create and explore. This activity involves vibration. There are various types of vibration monitoring systems available that measure vibration very accurately and even small levels that humans cannot differentiate.
This course provides an understanding of human responses to sound and vibration in the environment, and how such environmental issues are measured and assessed.
This course aims at giving the student a fundamental understanding of the complexity of human response to sound vibration terminologies, vibration monitoring methods and unbalance machinery faults.

HND (Mech.Eng)

With over 30 years of experience in fluid transport systems and associated equipment, Rob has done the hard yards. After graduating he commenced work in fluid system applications engineering. In later years, Rob expanded his focus to the management of the national and international distribution networks of a major international fluid sealing and transport equipment manufacturer. 
In the past decade as a private consultant, he has worked extensively in designing and troubleshooting complex fluid transport systems and equipment.

When not working long hours on the design, commissioning and troubleshooting of pumps, pipelines and associated equipment, Rob squeezes some time in for his Harley Davidson motorbike and scuba diving expeditions. He has done many presentations and workshops throughout the world and was placed in the world’s top three in an international, "Train the Trainer" exam during a workshop in Boston, Massachusetts in 1998.

One of his passions and sources of enjoyment is instructing technical courses and he is in constant demand both locally and internationally. No matter whether you have very little knowledge or are a veritable guru; you will be sure to take away valuable information from his courses.
